Favorite Character

Ann Deever
Although All My Sons wasn't my favorite play I still really liked Annie Deever. She was a very interesting character. It was repeated several times in the play that Ann is beautiful, and that is why I chose the picture of Emmy Rossum (because she is nice looking and i love Phantom of the Opera). Ann is a very strong woman. She stands up for herself and the people she loves, she is logical, and she also keeps a level head through stressful situations. Ann knows how to handle real life situations even though she is young and knows how to deal with rude people, like Mother. She doesn't let anything get to her or crush her dreams. When she wants something she fights for it and takes the consequences of what she does. I really admired Ann throughout All My Sons.

A Raisin in the Sun

Out of the three plays we read this semester A Raisin in the Sun was definitely my favorite. There was more appeal in that play than in the others. Lorraine Hansberry kept you interested and informed with her writing. The facts she included about the living situations of blacks and keeping the black dialogue made the Younger family more realistic. There was always something different happening which kept it more exciting and it was fun predicting what would happen in the next act.
